Who else loves this movie? - Bambi II (2006) Discussion

I like it. Not as good as the original, but it's much better than most other direct-to-video follow ups.

at first, didn't think it looked good. then, after actually watching it, I must agree it was a...passable sequel. much better than the drivel sequels they've released prior and even after it.

No matter how old you get, you're never too old for Disney.-by ME!!!

I actually liked it more than the original because the characters had fully developed personalities and motivations. I didn't really like much about the original beyond it's beautiful animation, you just can't care about characters you don't get to know.

ADD ME TO THE LIST OF PEOPLE WHO LOVE THIS FILM. I BET THE GOOD OLD DISNEY COMPANY IS GOING TO MISS THE CASH THESE FILMS BROUGHT IN. OH WELL MAYBE WHEN THE SEQUELS WILL START TO LOOK GOOD AGAIN WHEN THESE MOVIES THEY ARE MAKING NOW DON'T DO AS WELL AS THEY HOPE. THERE SHOULD BE ROOM IN THE BUSINESS FOR ALL MEDIUMS TO EXIST.

I was shocked, I am a hardcore classics fan and often hate or cannot stand Disney sequels because they end up butchering things but I was oddly satisfied with this movie and enjoy it, i would recommend it, it certainly is one of Disneys better sequels

I agree, while not as good as the stunning original, this is easily one of the better Disney sequels, a definite improvement on Cinderella 2 and Jungle Book 2.

I have a question, since this board seems little dead. I keep hearing about this Deer Call scene from this movie, on a different site, what are they talking about?

I like it, probably better than the original. Yeah, I'm a young Disney fan,18 years old, but I did watch Bambi and other Disney movies when I was younger, I like it less now becuase a lot of the parts are slow, and I realize that Bambi himself didn't have much dialogue at first.
I liked how they handled Bambi in this one better, and his relationship with is dad (go Patrick Stewart!). And it's about time they stopped teasing us and had Bambi and Faline kiss. Ronno was anoying, and ruind the kiss moment. By they way, did you know the voice of this Bambi is Nemo from finding Nemo?

I do too. It's not as good as the beautiful original, but I wasn't expecting to be. I honestly think the haters were
just expecting it to be as good as the first.
