A Wonderful Film

I picked this up at the video store because I love Joanna Cassidy, and I am always thrilled to see her in new works. But I really thought that this film was poignent and was story telling at its best.

I'm always a James Earl Jones Fan. BUT ... this movie went beyond just being a feel-good movie and even expressed concerns for helping people.

Less Hate. More Caring. (something like that?)

I'd watch this movie again, no doubt! There were times when I thought the acting by JEJones was not as good as he is capable of, but I'm going to guess that he was going more for effect (face features, eyes, mouth set). Not complaining, only saying that I know he's an excellent actor and the movie is not his normal role (Imo) ... like in the Jack Ryan Series of movies (Hunt for Red October, Clear and Present Danger).

The ex-con watching out for his son ... he cared about the boys future. Unlike some of the other (unseen) parents in the movie who would never consent to their children going to college, or even helping them with their studies. There was a Clear and Defining message in this movie. I hope it gets noticed and used within society ... like a "pay it forward" type of goal. The problem is that there are not too many wealthy folks who would waste or even spend their time trying to make a difference like the character played by JEJones.

I really liked this movie. Heartwarming. We need more movies like this.

I stumbled upon this movie by accident and I absolutely loved it! This is a movie many people need to see. It's sooo uplifting and that's what people need in today's society. I need to buy it and make my friends watch it and so I can be reminded of the good in people.

A feel good film worth watching. For a 37 year old male to shed one tear from his left eye and two from his right, this film certainly did the trick.

i was quite suprised this aired on hallmark again, as i understand it it's been off air since it was first released or something. right away i noticed what a fast take off it had. this guy sure had a problem having this reading room rolling, but i agree with everyone here, it was quite a moving piece.

there's a guy rolling in slow,
in a funny colorful car from the east side from,
wheels a little messy and put wild,
his head sticking out front from the left window side,
the increase of rules and crap,
probably will have the cops chase us like mad,
in order for this journey to go on,
jump in speed and lock the car door,
couse they're chasing us as we roll,
but someday, we'll find a hip path of our own.
