Walter wouldn't have kept the relationship with Kitty had he lived

Yes, at the end Kitty repented for her infidelity. And Walter seemed to forget as he loved her. Yet, I don't think Walter would have kept the relationship with Kitty for too long had he lived. Because that infidelity would always have haunted him. A man of his character cannot take it for too long no matter how much he loves.

Bit of a spoiler there in the subject line. With 15 minutes left to go, Walter's nude and still seems pretty lively.

No, I don't believe that. He was willing to raise another man's baby. He loved her from the start and never stopped, even when she cheated, even when he was angry with her. He loved her through and through.

I think Walter was in it for the duration had he lived.

Don't f@ck with me fellas! This aint my first time at the rodeo.

Witnessing the epidemic and learning to fight it and help the people transformed Kitty away from her self centeredness and Walter his priggishness. Had he lived, hopefully he would have accepted the baby as his own despite his doubts.

I believe Walter and Kitty would have gone on to a good marriage. Their boat ride after their reconciling night of love showed him captivated by her charm as in the first days. She was ready to give him more respect than in her selfish immature past, and he would bask in her admiration of him. They would have loved the baby equally, being mature people seeing the plight of the unfortunate orphans.

reply

Yes he would have. He was a good man with solid principles, and he forgave her and accepted her, mistakes and all.
