why mublecore?

i don't get the whole mumblecore thing. i could hear and understand every single word of dialogue perfectly well. that label seems to undermine the film to me. giving a group of films a label like that isn't going to do them any favours i wouldn't imagine. why can't they stand alone like any other film?

Its just marketing at the end of the day. The distrubutors just don't know how to market some films so they'll dub them something irrelevent like "Mumblecore!"

I think the term 'slackavetes' is considerably more appropriate.
