Anyone else notice that at about an hour and 11 min. in, when they show the creature coming out of the cow, it is almost a shot for shot copy of the scene from alien 3 when the alien comes out of the dog? I loved the look of this film, but there were some obvious heavy influences from the alien franchise, particularly number 3.

a large amount of film seemed to steal almost shot-for-shot copies of all of the alien films (the bit with the scientist and the microscope = Aliens, the cow chest burster = Alien 3 etc)

The whole farm reminded me of the Nostromo in Alien. And there's a scene where the bloke goes looking for that cow and he looks a little scared and there water leaking from roof: that reminded me of the scene in Alien where that bloke goes to look for Jones (the cat) and pauses to put his head under the water that's leaking from the cooling system.
