DVD release in USA: July 3rd

Thanks to ICM (Ice Cream Man: rupert-grint.us) :-

Thanks to a tip, ICM have learned that VideoETA has sent out an e-mail that the DL DVD will be released on July 3rd.
VideoETA told ICM that their information comes straight from the studio, so the July 3rd date is official. However with anything, this may change. They do believe though that with OotP coming out around the same time, this could be a fun tie in. ICM will let you know more when SPC gets back to them!

UPDATE : So, the date might not be true after all. According to SPC themselves, no date has been confirmed. ICM may know something in the next couple of weeks though

UPDATE #2 : The original date that VideoETA gave is indeed correct! The US version of DL will be out on July 3rd according to Sony themsevles:

According to the page Sony put up for the DVD, not only will we have deleted scenes, but there will be outtakes!

Considering that Sony Pictures is running trade ads for the title as coming out on July 3, I think the information is pretty reliable.

Suggested retail price is $24.96 but most stores will probably have it for sale for around $20. That is, if they stock it.

Do you know if it will be available to rent at Blockbuster? I just want to see Rupert Grint in something besides Harry Potter. I think he's the best actor of the three of the.

I bought it at Wal*Mart today (July 3), so yes, the date is true. I did not know it was coming out, but I saw it on the shelf and grabbed it without hesitation.

I don't know. If I had not happened to notice it on the shelf (of course, there is no chance I would not notice a DVD with Rupert on the front cover ), I would not have even known it was released. Usually, Wal*Mart has big posters advertising new DVD releases several weeks in advance, but not for this one.
