Julie Walters performance kept me watching this.

I have to admit I am a bit dissapointed. The film was a bit different than I thought it was going to be. I only really wanted to see this because I love Julie Walters and as usual she was fantastic. I am surprised I didn't like this better because I have always preferred British comedies to American. (Four Weddings and a Funeral, Calander Girls, and Love Actually are three of my favorite films of all time) I didn't hate the film, but I was dissapointed.

I think I liked this more than you, but the film lagged when Julie Walters wasn't on the screen. She completely carried this film, and her performance made up for some of the lapses in the writers' development of her character. She is a magnetic actress who is impossible to ignore.

julie walters was awesome in this...she totally stole every scene she was in...i had only seen her in the harry potter movies, so i was blown away by her performance....i love the movie also though...the ending was a little disappointing though...jmo

Yes; pity she played such an unlikeable character... However, she did a great job with the material, as she always does.

"Your mother puts license plates in your underwear? How do you sit?!"
