anyone know when/if this will be out in uk?

I don't know about the UK (I'm in the US), but I do remember hearing when it was released that the plan was never to put it out on DVD.

what? as if! It was advertised at my yocal arthouse and then never shown? Im desperate to see it

This will probably never be officially released on DVD but you might be able to find a bootleg online. hint hint.
