German SS Dramitisations in the documentry

Just wondering if there was Sub titles for the dramatization parts of this documentry. (the parts where actors play the roles of Himmler, Hoss etc.. and they speak german)...is there supposed to be subtitles to there german?

reply

I have the same problem.

I am sure that in its original DVD, the dramatized parts were subtitled. But unfortunately, whoever converted the DVD to avi, forgot to capture the subtitle.

They should have embedded the subtitle for the German parts in the video itself.

reply

I got it off Pirate bay and am in that exact predicament.

Looks like ill have to buy it for real! Dang,

reply

and any "english subtitle" you download and try is just subtitles for the english spoken parts.

reply

Exactly. Maybe i should make a request somewhere to do a sub.

Any german out there who wants to watch this and write the subtitles ofwhat they are saying so we can create a sub?

reply

I am going through the series on Netflix. All episodes are available for streaming. That is another solution.

reply

German is still not translated, but you are not missing anything much as far as understanding what is going on. The English voiceover gives you the information.

Oh, it looks like later on that the German is translated. Anyway, the most interesting part of the German is when "du" or "Sie" is used.

reply

It's all translated on Netflix.. Just finished it. Unreal ..

THERES NO ROOM IN MY CIRCUS TENT FOR YOU !!!!

reply

The German conversations are saying basically what you would imagine in that context from the information given in the English voice-over.

English subtitles for German re-enactments (.srt files):

All six parts in one .zip file.

reply
