Never fails, two movies uses the same script...

I watched The Secret earlier this year and then came across another movie with a similar plot while going through my Netflix. It's called Possession, and it's a remake of a 2002 Korean film http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0368563/. Both films were supposed to come out in 2007, but only The Secret was released while Possession was pushed back a few years and finally released on DVD this year (2010).

Storyline
Jess, a woman whose life turns surreal after an automobile accident leaves both her husband Ryan and her brother-in-law Roman in a coma. Things take an even darker turn when Roman wakes believing that he is Ryan. As Jess tries to deal with these increasingly disturbing events, she also struggles with the possibility that either the spirit of her husband has returned to her or that something very sinister is at work.

I'm sure they are way different, but it sounds like it's the same script just re-written, or the same type of story released or made in the same year as another movie that is the same or similar. In some instances, one version is the indy, low-budget release, while the other has better financing or a bigger release with more famous/popular actors.

Some examples would be:

Deep Impact / Armageddon
The Losers / The A Team
Chasing Liberty / First Daughter
Antz / A Bugs Life
Truman Show / ED TV

Sorry, I don't understand your analogy or how it relates to the topic.

No, not a teacher. Just someone with insomnia trying to get a few hours of rest before going back to work @ 8am.

I under stand what you're saying but I still don't get the connection. Maybe because I cut ties with everybody and just have my wife as my only friend and consort. Sure, I have over 100 "friends" on Facebook, but pretty much none of them do I really keep contact with. Its sort of like high school when you pass your yearbook around and people sign it. It's a vague contact list IMHO. To other people, its their livelyhood.

But movies=friends? Hardly. For starters, people are REAL, movies are make believe, something you watch to escape the confines of reality. Even the phoney people are real to a degree, LOL. Sorry, but I don't need just one movie, even if its a script re-write. Again, I understand what you're saying but I have to disagree with your comparison.
