I kept getting X-Files vibes throughout the film, especially when Duchovny is in the library researching possession. I kept expecting at any time Agent Mulder to break out a paranormal explanation of how this possession is happening and how to fix it...
...but it never happened.
Me too. That sort of ruined the movie for me but it was still a good movie.
I got extreme X Files vibes with the name Samantha (They could have changed that name. I wonder why Duchovny didn't have them.) The mention of Possession and Transference. Afterall there was that episode where that boy was possessed and The other two parter where Mulder was living someone elses life and vice versa.
St. Louis is awesome. Screw the statistics.
