According to publicity information in http://www.sina.com.cn and in http://www.stardaily.com.cn, Dragon Squad will have a theatrical premiere on a large luxurious mail ship in Hong Kong international harbor in early November, with a guest list including HK dignitaries, film industry executives, Hong Kong and other Asia based celebrities, and the director, producers, and cast. The premiere will also be a charity event to raise more funds to rebuild the tsunami affected areas in southeast Asia.

The theatrical release will be shortly after the premiere and will occur simultaneously in over 10,000 theatres in 11 Asian countries including Hong Kong, China, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand among others. Distribution rights have been negotiated for Europe, Australia, and North America. However, it doesn't say if there will be theatrical distribution in North America (U.S. and Canada). The article mentioned that distribution rights have been negotiated for worldwide video release, but there was no release date mentioned.

Are you an astrologist? How can you know that Dragon Squad sucks...?
You can't judge the film when you haven't even seen it yet!
Michael Biehn ROCKS, no matter what happens with Dragon Squad.
Theatrical release outside Asia or not, We will get the DVD anyway.

You know something, you really can't invent anything new to say. You are just recycling the same stuff. That's sad... anyway I think I'd be better ignoring you from now on.

reply

Oh my god please ignore him, see what styness says in Michael Biehns post.

Plenty of great foreign movies have never been shown in famous American theaters, but they were still great.

reply

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>.I know DS will stink because it's not an A-List American Hollywood BlockBuster box office smash hit. This is why I can judge because I'll never see it because it will never see the light of day in NY and LA theaters here in America. I'm not wasting my money on the DS dvd if it ever comes to block buster video stores here in America because that's not worth it and not worth my money. MB doesn't ROCK and if he did then you would be able to see him in THE WAR OF THE WORLDS and in THE ISLAND and THE INTERPRETER and many others like these ones.

Because everyone knows that having A-list actors ALWAYS equals great movies . . . OH WAIT.

Let's just ignore the myriad of foreign films in the IMDB top 250, full of people never heard of in the United States.

reply

Oh yes... I'm sure this will be ten times worse than THE WAR OF THE WORLDS (by the way, some of us half-brained folk do appreciate the importance of Honk Kong film over something such as "The Island". Having a bunch of people all run to the theaters because Tom Cruise plays the lead, or Michael Bay directs does not tell us that the "BlockBuster box office smash hit." bears any resemblance to a good movie. If it does indicate that, then by your logic, that also means that Gigli, Daddy Day Care, and Rebound must have been gigantic, legendary hits because they have all of your favorite "A-list" movie stars that "rock". Excuse my laughter. While you stick to Herbie: Fully Loaded, the we shall "waste" our money on Dragon Squad when it comes out on DVD, and do so with a smile on our faces.

And before I forget, to argue your point, MJ is better than JG and DS, DG, and better than DKNY or DKNY's father.

Sorry, I just realized that Stynes' entire message was a satire after reading through the actual message and its logic. Forgive me.

Anybody that uses the phrase "this rocks" or "that rocks" sha'n't be taken seriously anyways.

Shut up stynes unless you have something nice to say about michael, dont say anything at all. I am so tired of you repeating yourself over and over again.

I bet this flix will be voted as the worst foreign movie of 2006. (I personally think this movie is even worse than blood rayne.)
