When she bought that butt ugly shawl and thought she was gonna impress her friends back home, I could imagine how they sold it to her. It was so ugly no one wanted it, but the salespeople put aside to sell to some sucker tourist.
shareShe was pretty funny in the Paris episode, at least the one I watched (I think she's done several). I liked how she told how the Latin Quarter got its name: the students way back when inahabited that area, and in a form of academic purity, they spoke only Latin. Samantha says "Show-offs!" with this funny little look on her face. Loved it.
Also, the part where she visited that cheese shop, and was totally confused by the French names for the cheese she was being offered. She really mangled the French language. Anybody else would've looked like a clod, but Samantha made it actually charming and humorous, in a klutzy-embarrassed sort of way.
I like Samantha. She's is pretty funny.
