She's annoying

She is just flat out annoying, non attractive voice, and she's not exactly resppectful of the people in the countries she visits. She spit out some fruit in an episode right in front of the man she bought it from, and it is the merchant's best seller. Just pisses me off generally.

I agree with exbexcb. "...never seems comfortable." This ability isn't learned. You just "have" it. And this little gal's lacking. Here what I want in a travel show host: someone who magically and effortlessly engages me and draws me in to his/her experience. He/She has me WANTING to be his/her travel companion. He/She had a degree of being hip/cool...but achieves it in a non-intimidating way and makes me think I would just as be hip/cool, too, if I were in the episode's traveling experience. Sam doesn't do this for me. It's quite the opposite. These series of shows are a fab concept, but Sam misses the mark. I understand she won this gig in an audition process. Wow. How crappy was the rest of the field of competition? But it's too late now. This little gal's managed to parlay dumb luck, Trav-Chan created a "view her by default" situation, and now she's become a franchise. Good for her... But I can't stand watching her. She spoils it for me. I'll stick with Rick Steves. Another annoying personna -- but WOW, that guy's got great travel tips for me.

THANKS...I've been meaning to unload about Samantha's annoying factor for quite some time. Suggestion: let her redeem herself more often. Do something charitable or heart-warming in an episode now and then. I NEED to like this woman more. I don't. She's "viewing by default" because the series is such a great concept...

I used to drive my wife nuts because I made fun of her idiotic "humor" every episode. I would just do an over the top fake laugh at every joke. Would have loved to have been on her crew and did that to her until I got fired. I do think she improved over time as she started to learn she wasn't funny and her target audience wasn't 5th graders.
