Nicktoons is turning to the Darkside of Cartoons.....

1 out of 2 isn't too bad. Kaput and Zosky sucks crap. I mean fleas? What the hell? My guess is that they were trying to do a spin-off of those leeches that you'd occasionally see on Spunky. The only annoying thing about Corneil and Bernie is that thing they do when they talk. How can you "s" and have your tongue stick through your teeth?! It aggrivates the hell out of me.

"Bernie and Corneil" (titled "Watch my Chops" in the UK!) is a BRILLIANT cartoon! First really witty one I've seen since... "Power Puff Girls", I think!

You must be thick, Jasper-Black, because it ISN'T Canadian and from "Quebec", it's French!! Millimages.

I don't know why they've stopped making it. (If they have). I read on the net that there was only one season, now on here I read that there were 2. They certainly seem to have broadcast enough of the cartoons in England. I like the visual style; it reminds me of something, but I can't think what.

And - the VOICE talents! Tell me, in America... DO you have the version where the dog (Corneil) has a slightly soppy English (Northern) accent, played by Kevin whatshisname!

Because somebody else on here was saying it had been voiced by American actors over there... if you missed out on that Northern British accent for Corneil, you've missed the whole pleasure of the thing!

Yes, it was (and hopefully is and shall be!!) a VERY witty and unusual cartoon. I didn't think at the time that it was too "outre" to be produced by American TV, because I thought it might come from the sort of tradition of animation of something like, "The Cramp Twins", say.... But I notice that all those "artsy" type humour cartoons in the US now seem to be somehow... all melancholy! And not TRULY funny. Whereas THIS, Bernie and his talking dog that doesn't want it known... that TRULY WAS funny. It's a simple, basic idea: which ALL the best cartoons are - Tom and Jerry (cat chases mouse), Wile E Coyote (Coyote chases Roadrunner), Yogi Bear (a talking bear and his friend) and so on and so forth. THENCE derives the humour... from a simple yet sophisticated basis. The rest is all delicious icing! (Or frosting, as you americans would put it!)

More, more Bernie and Corneil. I'm getting tired of things like the Simpsons, basically because they glorify idiots: and South Park is just too gross.... and that appeals to a lot of crap on American TV these days.

We need more of the charming Gallic touch in art.

BTW - responding to the comments of some other people on this forum... if you don't want cartoons to be about talking dogs, what do you want them to be about??

you predicted the future there my friend, all this network is now is corneil and bernie, the secret show, kappa mikey and shows that are already on nickelodeon ie spongebob fairly oddparents etc. its stupid.
