Principal is rude to Pierre at first sight

I get that being a principal at an inner city high school means she needs to be tough as nails but Pierre is not a student so why is she being so rude to him? I understand she's got a lot of work to do but that's not something she needs to tell him.

She's a little over the top with the rudeness.

I don't condone her abruptness with him, but it's really obvious it's a tough school and she's just getting used to the fact her car has been trashed, most likely by one of her students.
