What is the answer?

Now don't get me wrong I do think taking the arts out of school is bad as they provide needed life skills. But, I can't help but slightly agree with the teacher that was frustrated over not being able to reward the kids who do work hard. (He acted ridiculous about the dance classes though. It had no affect on him and I feel like he was lashing out because he wasn't getting what he wanted.)

The problem is school tends to be more geared towards the students that already have privilege. How do you encourage a student to work towards going to college when their family is struggling just to put food on the table? My question is how do you strike the balance between working towards helping the kids that need it but also rewarding the ones who do put in the effort? If there are any teachers on here I would really like to hear your opinions.

Its something you'll get used to a mental mind *beep* can be nice!
