PS2 Framerate Issues?(!!!)

I just got this game the other day as a fan of the original I gotta say the graphics are a really good improvement BUT!!

At about the time when you meet the first TRIGGERMAN the game just goes glitchy and the framrate plummets to near slow motion. After killing the triggermen (man) you move up to the old broken down gazebo and there is that dream sequence which runs ok then the Triggerman appears and the framrate goes bye bye again.

I change into Insanity mode and its still glitchy the sound then starts messing up - i take out the first Triggerman then another 2 come along by now due to the framerate im near dead and beating the additional foes seems impossible.

It can't be possible that I'm the only person experiencing this!!!

Omg yes! it was horrible- i think it was becasuse too much was happening on screen for my ps2 to handle!

There is no Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny retired and the Tooth Fairy is dead...
