The Suffering: 3rd Chapter

This is basically a wish list.

If Surreal plans on a third game (I hope), then what would you like to see?

Note: If you're here to post bull about how Ties that Bind sucks and I hope they don't make another one, then go away! No one wants to hear it!

1. More Horror: The first game scared me to death the first time around, but Ties that Bind didn't really have that potential.

2. Better Story: Ties that Bind explained alot of things, but the story and setting has been used over and over again.

3. Better Graphics: With the power of the PS3 and 360, the series' graphics could get a serious overhaul.

4. Berzerker Mode: The exact same thing as insanity mode, but I'd rather see Torque rip everything apart, not his inner monster.

5. More Weapons: Ties that Bind had a better weapon set than the first. I know Surreal can come up with more.

6. More Weapon Slots: I didn't really like being confined to two weapons in TTB. Hopefully a third game will at least allow you to carry three weapons.

7. Explanation: Just like in the first one, TTB left some things unexplained. What is Torque's real name? How does Killjoy know Torque's mother? And from both games...what happened to those Torque helped?

Thats my spin.

reply

Better sub-enemies too. Horace and Hermes would kick Copperfield and The Creeper's asses.

And yeah, I've been wanting to see Torque go berserk without transforming ever since the first game.

Plus, MORE KILLJOY! He had such a small role in TTB.

You'd start crying like a bitch with a skinned knee.

reply

Oh and when it comes to more weapons, here are the specifics...

1. Flamethrower (Bring it back and give it more ammo!)

2. Crowbar (Heh, The Suffering meets Half-Life)

3. Combat Shotgun (more powerful and faster than a regular)

4. M4 (A bit like the M60, only less powerful)

and thats my take...again.

reply

Killjoy couldn't of known Torques mother cause he was alive in the 17 or 1800s. I don't know why Killjoy says that but I think he meant it metaphorically or something.

And in TTB, you should of only seen the transformation from the evil start, cause in the first one, Torque settled his rage issues in the good and neutral endings.

Also, if you want it on the next gen consoles, how would the game know who you helped?

Apart from that, those are some good ideas.

Stay solid Boppers.

Rule One: Don't just do it for the 360 and PS3. Please? PLEASE?! I have had far too many games come out recently that I was interested in but they were discontinued b/c of the 360. Also, if you DO make it for those, you have GOT to make it for the regulars [not all of us are "rich kids" with "sports cars, and cognac"...]

Rule Two: More weapons slots

Rule Three: Bring back the Creeper [as well as the characters from the Origional Suffering]. I want to know more about him so I can see if my story is along the right lines!

Rule Four: No copperfield. He was boring and had NO catchy catchphrases or even memorable qualities.

Rule Five: I liked the representations of a rundown slum in the game. Do that again.

I'll think upon more here...

PS: ADD A CHAINSAW!

reply

OH! Another add-on!

You should also have a special feature where if you beat it [on any setting] that you can play the game with any of the other side-characters from the Suffering series. I'd love to play as the Creeper and "smack the bitches down"

A second story showing the survival of Ernesto, Consuela and their two daughters. Cause Ernesto is completely dedicated to his family and will protect them even at the cost of his own life. Which is either a mirror of Torque or the flipside of the same coin...

right first off "torque" is his real name.
ties that bind was way sicker and more disturbing than the original
killjoy had a much bigger part in this than the first, but for gods sake he MUST return for a third

1. more sick stuff.

2. a less predictable twist (the fight club thing was so obvious right from the start of ties that bind, as no one other than torque addresses blackmore in the game and the fact that torque and blackmore have THE EXACT SAME VOICE)

3. the ability to hold xobium bottles like max payne

4. a proper conclusion, or no conclusion at all. the way i see it, if it has a happy ending, it should explain everything, and if it has a evil ending, then it shouldnt explain anything

akasonno, you may be interested to know there is a way to hold more than 2 weapons at a time in suffering 2. use the "aquire shotgun" cheat (hold L + R + X, left, left, left, down, down, down), if you already have 2 weapons, the shotgun will occupy a third slot. the next time you find a new weapon, swap it for the shotgun, do the shotgun cheat again, and the shotgun will now occupy a fourth slot, and the weapon you just got now occupys the third. repeat this process until you have all the weapons and then not only will you not be limited to weapon slots, but there is now no reason to drop any weapons, and walking over weapons in the game will simply fill your existing weapons ammo, in essence you can play ties that bind almost exactly like the original suffering. you have to cycle through the weapons with the Y button which can be tedius when youve got all them all but it really does change the style of gameplay.

i would also like it if not only there where new apparitions like the creeper and hermes, but if the old ones from both previous games make appearances. - remember, copperfield and the creeper didnt die in ties that bind, you "kill" hermes in the same sort of way in the suffering, then he shows up again later on.

You Dare Agree With Me?!

Actually, Torgue isnt his real name. As he says to Carmen, "Most just call me Torque." Meaning that its just a nickname.

Also, why would we want to see Torgue not transform? The whole point of his tranformation is to show us how Torque sees himself when his anger takes hold. To show us how unstable he really is. Why do you think it's called an Insanity Meter? The game is all about Torques struggle to remain sane (Or to go insane if you be a bad guy) Thats why it starts to get more and more whacked out when you play as a Psychotic killer.

hey Eddie... *beep* you Eddie! Suck my d!ck!! - Eddie Murphy, Raw

1 - give Torque some more simple abilities, like the crouching in gears of war
or just an ability to shoot around a wall or what not

2- more interactive environments, nothing stupid crazy like fracture, but little things breaking and exploding

a thrid game would be sweet

reply

The Suffering 3 on PS3 would be a dream come true.
