As a huge Edgar Wright fan, is this movie any good?

I've never seen this movie but I'm a huge Edgar Wright fan as his movies with Simmon pegg are some of my favorites. is this movie as good as those? Just debating whether it's worth my time or not. Thanks.

Edgar Wright's Films (Including Producer and Writer Credits, as they are all similar):

Shaun of the Dead = Hot Fuzz (8.8/10)
Spaced (TV) (8.8/10 TV)
Scott Pilgrim = The World's End (8.7/10)
Attack the Block (Produced) (8.3/10)
Tintin (Co-Wrote) = Ant-Man (Originally Wrote) = Sightseers(Produced) (7.9/10)
Grindhouse (Segment Director/Writer) (7.7/10)
Paul (Produced, still decent) (7.2/10)

It's very good. If you like Wright's other movies, I can guarantee you'll like this one.

Yes!

I love Edgar Wright, but I just can't get into this film. Have tried to watch it twice now, but can't get beyond about 30 mins.

reply

No, it sucks. It's his only miss IMO.

reply

It's clearly his worst film (he should stick to writing his own material).

RIP:
David Bowie (1947-2016)
Alan Rickman (1946-2016)
Prince (Rogers Nelson) (1958-2016)

It's as good as any of his other movies that he's directed (and I love them all, although I haven't watched Shaun of the Dead in a really long time...)

Cynicism is easy.

I am a huge Edgar Wright fan; this is Wright Unchained. Its everything that was amazing in his other movies, but with a massive budget. And it works. It is a visual feast, and *beep* hilarious.

It wouldve been better had Pegg helped write it

reply

It's a really good film but I don't think anything can beat hot fuzz or SotD
