I caught Pathfinder on TV and enjoyed it to the extent that I bought the DVD, and I also considerate it to be one of my favorite movies. It's a really good, entertaining, action/fantasy film. I don't remember the advertising from when it came out, but it seems like a lot of reviewers were expecting a serious period/historical piece? IMO Pathfinder is more of a "Conan"/fantasy/action/adventure movie, but maybe a little darker/grittier. It's a simple story but told well, there are some great visuals/scenery, the actors are solid and it's action packed. To me it has the "spirit of an 80's B-movie", it might not have the biggest budget, or A-list actors, but it seems like everyone involved made the best movie they could.
