It seems to me that people love to hate this film. Whether its historical inaccuracies, bad acting, or a cheesy plot. And you know what? I don't get it! I loved this movie from beginning to end. It has a lovely story and the acting is great. Pathfinder is one of my favourite movies of all time. Anybody else with me?
shareI caught Pathfinder on TV and enjoyed it to the extent that I bought the DVD, and I also considerate it to be one of my favorite movies. It's a really good, entertaining, action/fantasy film. I don't remember the advertising from when it came out, but it seems like a lot of reviewers were expecting a serious period/historical piece? IMO Pathfinder is more of a "Conan"/fantasy/action/adventure movie, but maybe a little darker/grittier. It's a simple story but told well, there are some great visuals/scenery, the actors are solid and it's action packed. To me it has the "spirit of an 80's B-movie", it might not have the biggest budget, or A-list actors, but it seems like everyone involved made the best movie they could.
