Did anybody else think the spike pit trap was HILARIOUS?
When that scene happened it instantly made this movie great in my mind. I think it played out in my head something like this:
*Karl Urban standing alone, the camera shows the trap in front of him*
"Alright! Finally, enough picking off guys, he's about to kill 20 at once this is gonna be sweet."
*Indian warriors jump out and start to charge*
"Wait, what the hell? How is this plan supposed to work?"
*Karl Urban screams 'NOOOOOOOO!!!' in slow motion*
"HAH! REALLY!? They just showed up to help without him knowing? AND they have no idea about the trap he set? But that would just be too funny, there's no way they would actually-"
*Indian warriors all fall in the pit*
"OH GOD YES! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
*Vikings calmly walk up and massacre them*
"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!" (with tears in my eyes)
I like to think of this movie as a high budget B film. It features all the hilarious ridiculousness of a B movie but had a high budget for good sets/costumes/gore/effects(except the avalanche stock footage montage, lol)
