Save problems...please help !

I have COM and have been eager to play it for ages, but there's a problem with it not saving. I start a new game, play...then i reach the first save point. I save numerous times and turn it off...but when i turn it back on, the start menu only has the option of start new game =/(The first time this happened, i have been playing for HOURS so you can imagine how P'd off i was)
This keeps happening...and aparantly this has been a popular problem among users but no one has been able to give me an explanation or possible help. Also, should be noted that i'm playing the game on a DS...dunno if that makes a difference at all.

Hmm. Have no idea what the problem is. Other than your game is just messed up. :(
I lost my GBA version. So never got a chance to play on my DS. Don't think that's the problem...
Hmm... when did you get the game?

cheers for the reply ! erm i bought it last year...but i bought it on ebay so i guess its my own fault...yeah i just figured its something to do with the game itself...still a bummer though, coz im really wanna play it :/

My guess is that all the recent productions of the game have defects. Which seems plausible since no one really plays GBA games anymore. :(
This really sucks. I actually liked the handheld version better than the 3D PS2 remake.
Try emailing Square Enix. See what happens. I'm almost sure it's the game that is defective. And maybe include how much you wanted to play it.
I got the game less than six months after it came out. So I had a recent copy. I would ship mine to you if I could find it! LOL.
