Why No Philadelphia Accents?

Everyone sounded like they were from Chicago or New York. Why didn't they do a Philadelphia accent for at least some of the characters?

Exactly, they never do ! Every movie that takes place in Philly, the characters all have New York accents...example "God's Pocket", "10th & Wolf", "Money for Nothing" and even some of people in "Rocky" movies. But, at least, they filmed this in Philly...they usually film movies in Pittsburgh, and try to pass it off as Philly. I heard they do it b/c it's cheaper with filming permits and taxes, or whatever. It sucks !

Want to hear a real insult where Philly is concerned? I'm not Philly but I'm from half an hour outside of Philly, but back to said insult, A History of Violence used Canada as Philly, Like no one from Pennsylvania could tell the difference.
