The scene with the two men at the start...

Bored and browsing around wikipedia, I came across this entry http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Armin_Meiwes

It's on a man named Armin Meiwes which, if you read the page, is obviously the direct inspiration for the scene at the start with the two men partaking in grilled penis.

I tried to updtae the wiki entry in the cultural impact segment with the information of Feed, but I couldn't figure out how, so maybe someone that can can enter it? If it's not already added, I'll add it to the trivia for this film.

On the actual matter, all I can say is: wow, I never would have thought it was based on a real account. Creepy.

I had followed the Armin Meiwes case when it was happening, and I thought of it immediately when I saw that scene.

Now, oddly enough, Meiwes had (I'm pretty sure unsuccessfully, or it's still pending) sued another production company for playing with the idea of a film about him, but this one seemed to slide by without him noticing.

I thought the same thing, wiccan! heck, the scene in the movie even took place in Germany! Maybe because it was such a small scene they didn't hear about it. Or perhaps they don't know about it.

Mysgostic? I don't know, but i'm about 90% sure it has something to do with dummies.

There you go. Must warn you: as far as I've heard/read, it's VERY sick and disturbing. I didn't watch it myself and don't intend to do it. Your choice.

If it is an insult towards me, i ask what i did wrong to deserve that kind of abuse. If not, could u make it clearer for the future what u mean.

Your information sounds a lot more interesting than what I saw in the movie. Maybe the writers should have done a movie about that instead. This movie was not that interesting...but it was okay. The performances were a little wooden though.

The man who feeds the other guy his dick is sat next to me on a computer. What do you want to know?

i found this film amazing, i loved every minute of it, even if i did personally find it slightly gross and disturbing in some scenes.

the two guys in germany DID NOT disgust me at all, one of the following scenes, with the 'feeder' masturbating whilst feeding the 'consumer' did disturb me slightly, i dont know why it was just one of those things that sticks in your mind, maybe because the film is based 'loosely' on true events.

overall, i would recommend the film to anyone who hasnt seen it. it is a great portrayel of society and the internet today.

Actually it's a pathetic, intellectually vacant portrayal of society. Total piece of mindless garbage which should go down in history as the laughingstock movie of the century. The worst part is that the movie somehow thought itself an intelligent serial killer movie/fetish film/society commentary when in fact it failed on all accounts. Worst than the worst part is that somehow the movie managed to convince some viewers of the same thing. I can't even begin to explain to you why this movie takes your IQ down by enough points to turn you into a vegetable for 2 hours or however long this worthless pile of trash lasted on my DVD player. I felt like going out and buying a new brain after watching this because I was concerned that my own brain had softened to the point of collapse after these 2 wasted hours. I also worried that maybe there was something wrong with my brain in the first place, since I actually consented to watch this for the entire 2 hours (I'm telling myself it was because I was thoroughly blown away by how bad it was, but maybe I'm just a victim of society! Of consumerism, because I rented this movie with money, and because I like good-looking people because society tells me to like good-looking people!)
TOTAL GARBAGE. Immature, underdeveloped, unconvincing, lame, lame, lame.

"Loosely"? That kind of thing happens every DAY.

reply

Actually what is pathetic is your attack on this film. You obviously are in love with yourself and your supperior mind so why not start making films yourself? I'm not saying this was the best film I ever saw but there isn't anything about it that is "TOTAL GARBAGE." To anyone that would like to watch something a little bit different than your average thriller- give this movie a chance!!! Sorry Cankerblossom but I believe you have Canker sores on your huge advanced brain!

reply

I agree with you in some ways, I found the movie fascinating, I wasn't really bothered in terms of acting, but the story was just new to me, different from the every day... hmm... would you call it a thriller? Well, either way, yeah, fascinating.

There is actually a german movie named "Rotenburg" (named after the city Armin Meiwes lived in; his nickname in the German press was "Der Kannibale von Rotenburg") that's all about this case, actually about the the last 2 hours of his "victim's" life.
Didnt see it, donĀ“t want to see it, but some may find interest in it...
Dont know if you can find it in the US though.

The rock band Rammstein from Germany, wrote a song by Armin Meiwes called Mein Till (My Part). I'm sure you read about it in the Wiki. If you haven't heard it you should, it's very good. ;)

reply

Just watch the movie called "Cannibal" i think its german or something. Its about a guy that wants to be eaten by a "master" its exactly the same as in this movie.
