A good movie that tries too hard for the irony *spoilers*

This whole movie was a big pile of irony wrapped up with a pretty bow. It tries to take what everyone would naturally take for granted in this movie and turn it on its ear. The problem with this approach though is that it starts to get predictable once you recognize the pattern.

All a person has to ask to figure out what happens next is, "What would be the most ironic thing that could happen here?" And you'll get the easy answers like the people they're going to for help screw them over, one of them will shoot another on accident, the person least likely to die will get taken in the most anticlimactic way possible.

Honestly, other than that I liked this movie. I usually don't take to movies with not-so-happy endings, but this one fit the overall theme of the movie.

none of these things are ironic. they are unfortunate, but not ironic.

Yeah, I kinda see what you mean. I had not thought of this trend of the film to be 'Irony', but it might very well be. I fully agree with you though and I also did not particularly like that specific aspect of the film either...

I have over 6000 films now, many of them very rare and OOP. I LOVE to trade. PLEASE ASK!

There's no irony in that. It's poetic justice. What happens is exactly what should happen.
