Lopez main character sex scene.

In the context of the movie's subject, I felt it was highly insensitive to include a sex scene between Lopez & the the rich guy she meets at the fiesta? More so because it added nothing to either the movie or plot & only served to cheapen it.

reply

I thought she did it to get answers out of him.

Why did the makers of this movie feel that they had to put in stupid crap (sex scene, the rock band, ect)????

Please, people, I urge you to still watch the movie just so you can learn the facts. The movie is very truthful and scary when you learn at how evil the network is. Just for this, watch it. (ignore any cheese)

reply

Lopez probably suggested it herself so she could still have some sexual attention drawn to her before shes completely out the game. Also, its probably what she would have done in real life so it comes naturally to her

And i agree that the subject is important, unfortunately the movie just does not deal with it very well.

She did it because she called Antonio Banderas' character (Diaz) and his wife answered the phone and she was jealous. And also because the rich guy was hotter than balls.

reply

Great, i hope she got off on screwing someone with potential involvement in the mass murder of 100's of women on his CV then, lol

There's a sex scene? You've got to be kidding me, that's like having a random sex scene in Schindler's List

This reply is not meant to be rude, and I gather that somehow the contrast in the movie was not properly drawn, so I understand the confusion. But I have to speak my piece as a woman who suffers from this double standard....

In the sex scene M. Lopez plays a a free adult woman, who just like a man, is able to enjoy and use the act of sex, the pleasure of sex, for all the relaxation and concentration of feelings it brings.

She is shown as being free to invite sex, bring on sex, enjoy sex and lose herself in it.

The fact that she makes similar faces to the victim in this movie is not an error. It is deliberate to show that the line between free will and being forced may be fine, but it it is definite.

Great Answer.

I think the OP is right...She was having and enjoying sex with someone she knew to be involved with the murders/rapes of all these women. That's not the same as showing a healthy sex drive or even a reaction to Diaz being married. It's just trashy, and seems to me to be against what her character would actually do.

"Level head? I think mine's level, and yours is the one things would roll off of."

reply

Yes I Agree She mentions she is not married and has no kids so like you said women need sex as much as guys so she was entertaining herself with some great sex

reply

she hadda screw him, she just asked questions about that dude Aris he woulda suspected things, those guys kill everything
