Why of Why the Killings?

No one has mentioned WHY these young women were harshly raped, beaten and then murdered/buried. What was the purpose? One less worker? Is there so much rage and hatred in those criminals that they enjoy taking women at random and destroying them? Have they no wives, mothers, sisters? It boggles my mind.

It is for SPORT that they are killed. There are many sick people in this world, and Juarez is their capital.

Their deaths are making somebody money. Just like the cartel sells drugs, they sell human flesh that is disposable. :(

OHMYGAWD! Perhaps that's why I just couldn't fathom it. Some "sports" are quite cruel. Like bullfighting. But to do this to sweet, hard-working innocent young women . . blows my mind. That's just idiotic! Thanx for your response, though. Have a lovely Thanksgiving. J.

So what, you didn't know about that?

That's what everyone is asking, clearly those people are psychos!

There have been some American psychos in our country as well, some who have inspired Hollywood for those creepy psycho films such as American Psycho, Texas Chain Saw Massacre and Halloween among others. A human who kills for what seems to be for the heck of it.

These disgusting killers are sick in the head and go after young woman rape them, torture them and kill them. Also something to note is that it's not just young woman from the machinery or warehouses, it's been from all over the border. Some have been taken from other cities and then taken to Juarez be be dropped their dead bodies there. There was a case of a young woman from Mexico City who was abducted after school raped and kill then dropped in the Juarez border!

A lot of the abductions happen around poor neighborhoods such as ghettos where the police would simply blame it on the residents of those neighborhoods.

It's HORRIFIC and very doubtful that it will stop anytime soon.

In the wild, the predators go where the prey goes.

Many people including, many young women ["the prey" to the sicko mind] have flocked to the border towns for work. I suspect in villages\towns surrounded by lots of family and close friends, it would be harder to get at these women. But, the border situation may leave women more vulnerable.

As all this became widely known, predators around the nation [& maybe some from outside of it too] also realize this fact and [I suspect] many migrate to the border towns. Its' almost like if many of the gang members, serial killers, rich & poor perverts and etc, in America were to have headed to New Orleans after the hurricane -- thinking that with the police battered and homes destroyed, there would be a lot of vulnerable women there.

As an atmosphere of criminality grips the area, a number of locals may also feel it is okay to act out.

Thank you, Mr. Amaroso . . . You've given me the best answer yet. I'd forgotten about my posting, it was so long ago. Why then, must we have such savages in ANY country? Kind of like animals, huh? Only some animals treat their females alot better. Shame on these predators. Again, Graçias!

And, Peace to you jadams414 !

However, this was not immediately apparent to me. I've been wondering about this issue too -- on and off. With the growing number of murder victims and the unlikelihood that only one serial killer (or even one group of killers) was doing it all, this answer is just what came to me. I'd combine it with some things some others have posted also.

It's like in a western when word gets around that a certain town is rowdy and then various unrelated & unconnected outlaws decide this is the town for them to go to or in more recent times when bikers from various areas & various biker-gangs converge on a town to party because it has a reputation as their type of town.

Just my two cents worth !

These killings, which have been happening since 1993, are not the work of one mad man or serial killer. A few of the girls have actually managed to escape all say the same thing, there are as many as 20 men present, filming, raping, torturing and killing these girls. Most of this is filmed. Police have found some of the film, but because some high officials, police etc. are on the film, not much has been done.
Typical Mexican justice.
