I've been here nearly 12 years, and for nearly the last 10 I considered this my main board. There have been arguments, but for the most part it's been peaceful conversations about upcoming events. It's unfortunate the entirety of IMDB couldn't remain as civil.

Really enjoyed reading both you and Chuck's posts. Kept this place somewhat tolerable after a few folks turned it into all-Conor all the time arguments.
I'm D123454321 on Bloody Elbow, and I'll probably spend most of my forum time there. The admins are a bit nazi-ish, but it's a pretty well-educated community and some hilarious posters.

Well I've never been able to create an account on sherdog but I get most of my info from there. If there's a disqus board I'll use it.
shareThis was the only MMA board I posted in. But to be honest I'm losing interest in MMA and rarely feel the urge to post or discuss it much anymore. The rise of Conor and Ronda has sucked the oxygen out of everything else.
shareRonda's flame kinda went out in 2015. It was nice seeing the other gals get a crack at the division for a change, and now that change looks permanent. I agree with you 100% about Conor.

This was the only board I went to for MMA. I am not a hardcore fan so this place fit me best. I like MMA but I don't know every fighter, I feel the sport has watered itself down. UFC has some event every 1-2 weeks most are not worth it to me.
Sucks but I don't see myself joining another MMA/UFC board.
Guess this is the end. Always thought the boards would outlast us all and I would have to log in with my old password ears from now to see whats going on.
On this board I saw MMA go from obscure youtube videos to making to a full 4 page article in the LA Times to pod casts to full cards on broadcast TV. I remember everyone slowly gravitating to this message board from whatever MMA UFC Pride Martial Arts Superstars page they were haunting and we made this message board the main MMA board on IMDB. Guys from the Wanderlei Silva, Chuck Norris, Gene Lebbell, Tito Ortiz, Ken Shamrock, Kazushi Sakuraba, Bruce Lee boards came here to get our MMA fix weither it arguing or getting news or sharing highlight videos or even talking about TUF(we actually did that here at one time). Every summer we would battle with the Rastlin(WWE Raw)board and raid each others message boards for weeks. In the 11 years Ive been on this board(had a different account before, my puppet eventually became my primary account)I saw Nick Diaz submit Taqkanori Gomi, changed jobs 6 times, was reunited with my first son, buried my only daughter, introduced another son into the world(got a picture with him and Nick Diaz 😁, traveled from Naknek Alaska to Oranjestad Aruba and a few stops in between, nearly lost my arm on the job and witnessed the rise and fall of the Greatest MMA fighter in history....the God MMA Antônio Rodrigo "Minotauro" Nogueira. Saw a lot of great guys(and asswholes)come and go. g_forst26, theone123, TimAB, VanderleiSilvafan, Abc, KingKoala and many more I just cant remember right now.
And now the final days are upon us. I have had accounts with other MMA forums(sherdog, MMAjunkie, KAT)but I doubt Ill be posting on any other boards as this was the one I called home. Will stay on this board till the last minute and when the message boards sign off Ill be signing off too I reckon. For anyone still wanting to shoot the sh!t and get one last sig bet in we still got 2 more weeks so remember...use the magic twig wisely!

No, I don't think any message board is worth paying for. Damn sure wouldn't pay $20.
It's free...some IMDB posters created the site and set it up so that it looks exactly like the IMDB boards.

It's only the main message boards... and I think it'll be shut down eventually because of some intellectual property rights or some sh*t... But I think a lot of Sports Boarders will be jumping there.

Yeah I wish it didnt carry over all those needless boards that were added on right before imdb started to decline. They were pretty useless anyway. I registered but Ill hold off posting till they get the bugs out. I saw another siye doing the same thing.

This board is the first thing I thought of when I heard of the shutdown ... Even though I don't come here that often anymore. This sucks.
I used to check here multiple times per day to look for new posts haha. My favorite and most frequented board by far.
