Who Else Thinks that 'Exiled' Is Ridiculous?

Please, like sending them to an impoverished country with five cameras shining on them is really going to change their sucky attitudes. I say if their parents really want them to have a reality check, they need to make their damn kids move out and make them work through college. Make them get a job as a waitress/waiter and give them no access to a credit card or anything. Everytime I see this show, I want to vomit.

I agree. They sent ava to some tourist "village" in thailand where she's babysat by a really patient "local" that knows English. Her life didn't change because of her trip, but she'll probably say it did. She's not unintelligent, just ditzy and immature as *beep*. People need to just not be so nice to her.

I also think if they really want to teach these tripes a lesson, they need to cancel this show and stop giving them their 15 minutes. That way, we will guarantee that we will never see these brats again until Extra or one of those tabby shows has an update segment on them when they are old and have cellulite. It would make my life if I never have to see any of those attention whores again!

Well obviously it won't work for all of the girls who are bitches.

But some aren't as severe and do find something from it.

Why is it that only rich kids or bad kids get sent on these "Eye Opening" journeys. I would give up my first born to be able to go to any one these places that these kids are being sent to, but I'd never be able to afford it. I guess that's what I get for having parents that made me work for everything they ever gave me and taught me values.

By the way are they getting paid for being on the show? If they are doesn't that defeat the purpose of the show?

there are plenty of places in the USA they could send these girls to teach them a real lesson...like oakland,CA or Detroit Brewster Projects, Chicago's Southside, east barrio LA, ect.

I agree with the original poster, they should maybe send them to live with a regular family for one college semester, with no luxuries. Sending someone to Africa with their phone isnt going to change them!

MTV isn't showing exiled to change these girls and turn them into better people. They are showing it because some people might actually believe it will work and will find it to be entertaining. I don't really see the entertainment value in it so I'm not going to pay attention to it.

What's so much more ridiculous is that tons of people would LOVE to go to countries, but can't afford it, and these kids that could afford it are going for free and getting paid for it.

Say, Ron, you look tired, have you ever been tested for diseases?

All I got from that show is that they're receiving further rewards and attention for their behavior.

Why don't they make a show about non-wealthy people who actually want to go to those places? I'll be their first volunteer.

Anyone thinking they gain nothing out of this should probably watch a couple of the girls interview on the Tyra Show. Haha cannot believe I'm actually suggesting do that but I am. I actually came on here to say the Amanda chick looked like Audrina. I was flipping through the channels and thought I saw Audrina from the hills so I flipped back but it was the Amanda chick from exiled who got shipped to Africa. It was her and another girl. I really only listened to Amanda speak and from what was said when she came back she gave her dad all her credit cards. She also now lives on her own and has a job and doesn't ask her dad for money. Really I guess you can believe what you want from the show and the interview. But I believe no matter how spoiled you are and no matter how many cameras are around you, going to a place like that and being subjected to the culture and living conditions will change or have an effect on anyone. Not sure when it will show again, but honestly if you all have the time to post comments about them, I would assume you'd have the time to watch a 10 minute segment.

Oh I know! When I saw the advertisement for it I was like are you serious?! These kids will never learn and their parents are to blame for raising them to be this way.

I felt bad for the people who have to host these kids. I thought that Thai girl was going to hit Ava in the face with a garden ho for being so whiny and annoying.

I have some domestic places that the kids could go:

Watts, CA
Patterson, NJ
Baltimore, MD
Queensbridge, Queens, NY
Detroit, MI
St. Louis, MO
Miami, FL (the Pork and Beans section)
Tallahasse, FL

I could go on and on, but in pretty much all of those places, if those kids went there with their stuck up attitudes then they'd more than likely end up on the back of a milk carton. Their parents should send them to those places, not on a VACATION to a different country.

Everyone has the right to be unhappily wed, gay or straight.
