The best of the film

The dialogues were the best of the film by far (it had almost none and that's what I liked about them). All the rest was rubish. I have never seen a more stupid and empty film than this one. What a waste of time and money!

That's exactly what George W. Bush said when staring at Picasso's "Guernica". I pity you for what you are missing in life. Look behind, look through.

I pity YOU for criticizing everything about the film in the most shallow of ways. As if simply writing that everything about the film is bad will convince anyone...why don't you try elucidating your disliking of the poorly written, poorly shot film. What parts were poorly written? Poorly shot (this one should be especially fun)? Do you like Tsai Ming Liang's films? What are you doing on this message board?

The thing about this movie is that 'hidden meanings' behind every of the scenes... try watching it again...

e,g watermelon stands for 'love'
what does the main female actress do to watermelons?
