If you like "vengeful ghost" stories, I'd also recommend Korei (English title: Seance). Also, Ju-rei was a series of movies like Ju-on was. If you like psychologic thrillers, try Audition. Hope this was helpful to you. ^_^

You can't say JuRei mega sucks but at the same time say st. john's wart is merely "poor"
lets get ahold of ourselves. While JuRei was a total rip-off of every japanese horror film of the last several years, it was at least creepy and effective.
While st. John's wart....yeah...that movie made was want to kill myself. I dont even remember how it ended, and it was too long ago that I saw it.

Uhm... I thought Phone was kinda lame. And Wishing Stairs was even more lame (just the terrible fat-girl makeup ruined that movie). While Ju-Rei was confusing but pretty scary.
And Memento (not "momento") Mori was not bad, it was a lot like Ring 0.
And I don't spell Japanese and Chinese with "-eese", so I'm smarter than you. :p
yea, this guy has such a weird sense of rating on some of these movies, memento mori was a great movie, uzumaki was a great movie, phone was a rip-off of the ring with a telephone and ju-rei while boreing, was mildly interesting.
shareThe first person who isn't me I've seen to rank Ringu 0 over Ringu...otherwise I'd rank rank Memento Mori higher (in the good range, I liked Whispering Corridors too, Wishing Stairs would be closer to fair), rank Kairo a little lower (in the fair range, the acting is awfully bad and it's really pretty slow but it gets points for being a breed apart), Phone a little lower and this one at least higher than Tomie...so little is worse than Tomie. Otherwise, a reasonable ranking, A Tale of Two Sisters, Dark Water and Ju-On (first) would top out my list.

I mostly agree with that list on the other page, except I thought St. John's Wort was very good and the Phone was average.
Another excellent Korean one definitely worth mentioning is Red shoes.
