For all you (eight?) Roy Andersson fanatics out there-
Someone has posted a 7 minute video of production diary on DU LEVANDE as the master makes the magic happen. Here's the link.

The film's posters have kindly added English subtitles.
Make sure to stay through minute 5 when you can see Andrsson making 60 extras appear to be a rush hour crowd of 200. I was surprised to see what a tiny studio he's filming in- probably the size of a two bedroom apartment! Amazing!

OMG Thanks for posting this. Yes, I am one of the eight pople in this world who absolutely adore this man. I wonder if this film will ever reach the states? I own SONGS, and I would like to have this too.

One more greek entry...

R. Andersson is one of the greatest cinematic narrators
of modern alienation. He is a consistent anticonformist.
By the way we must support small cinemas like "AFAIA"
for their dedication to the true art films (for greek fans only)

What are you guys talking about? When I was doing by BA degree in Film, we were like 70 people in my class who took the "Art Cinema" course, and I believe it is safe to say that none of those 70 individuals disliked "Songs from the Second Floor". I just saw this 15 min ago and I am just as amazed now as I was when I saw "Songs.." - Roy Andersson is great and he has MANY fans..!:)
