One messed up movie.

The first hour is interesting.
The second hour is pretty disturbing - Russian poverty, acoholism, the works.

Surely, not your regular hollywood popcorn flick.
There must have been some kind of a message hidden within. Too bad I had to fastforward 50% of the movie.

Exactly my opinion, only I did watch te movie without fastforwarding. The movie starts excelent, but when she goes to the countryside the movie collapses imo. The (what you said) disturbing images and lack of interesting cinema at that point *beep* up the movie for me.

haha that's how my mom watches movies. I don't think she's seen a WHOLE movie in about two years.

I did find the old women very troubling indeed.

The floppy breasts were very upsetting.

I saw this film several months ago and I have to agree. I watched the entire thing with no fastforwarding but only because I was too lazy to find the remote. Either way, I really don't know how to feel about the film. It was good and fairly interesting but... yeah I just don't know.
