POE LEASE instead of Police
& often using BE in place of ARE
They BE accusing you of being an idiot.
There's one on there today using double negatives & terms like Baby Daddy etc. etc.
She is LOW class trash to be sure !
right? That is why I enjoy Judge Judy. She will call out people who speak so illiterate or wear trashy clothes.
shareOn Judge Hatchett, there was a defendant trying to be pretentious and oh- so- Holier than thou, using the word "Tooking" instead of taking or Took.
I was tooking care of her.
Oh my God. I turned it off.
I hate when they say "whenever" or "borrowed" (instead of lended)
"whenever we went to the movies that night"
"I borrowed him $400 to pay his rent"
The downward spiral of language arts and grammar is evident on these shows
OH OH!! I *HATE* the new usage of "whenever" for "when!!"
One time I realized my mouth was hanging open after listening to "What ha happened wuuuuuz, whenever we went to my auntie house that day, my man baby mama she show up and start callin me out my name! Out my NAME!!" (That was on Judge Mathis; he actually provided the audience with a partial translation.)
I really hate axed instead of asked. Or words that us a th and they say an f. Birfday? Or instead of texts they say textses. Ugh.
shareThere was a woman on the other day, Staniqua somebody-or-other, who was supposed to be a college student. Anybody know who I am referring to? Her speech and English were so bad, I almost spit when she said she was attending college. THIS is the future of our country? God help us! )-;
"Qui conduisait la voiture?"
