What do you think happened to Andy?

Do you think Andy gave up acting for good? I'd like to think he ended up as a stand up comedian. Fits with his critique of celebrity in the final show.

I would assume Andy gave up acting and took a normal 9-5 job somewhere. I think the morale of the story is that fame comes with a price, and Andy didn't like the price he had to pay to become a celebrity.

I think he did learn his lesson of fame coming with a price but I don't think he stopped acting. Even with everything that happened I still think he enjoyed acting too much to stop doing it. Maybe he attempted to do credible acting again and actually took some parts in plays if he could get them or went back to being an extra maybe with Maggie again.

I don't think Andy gave up acting. But I think he learned to be happy with his successes and realised the things that truly mattered, his friendship with Maggie. I think he stopped taking himself too seriously and trying to reach unobtainable goals, maybe doing those offers he previously deemed beneath him and enjoy the ride and the work for what it is.

Andy sells the house overlooking Hampstead Heath and moves into Maggie’s building to give himself some financial flexibility.

Sir Ian calls to say A Month of Summers is being staged at a reputable out-of-town venue. Andy, no longer so concerned about what people think of him, takes the gig and does a much better job. His career builds slowly and surely from that.
