Serious Question here...

I've often wondered what would I really do in a situation like this. The film poses the age old question of "put a pedo in a room with someone and what you would do to them" but I've always wondered how far I would go in all honesty and anyone I know too. The film is really interesting and it is moving as well as shocking and viscerally real. It shows us through the doctor what we would be capable of if some disgusting scum hurt someone we loved. Come the crunch I don't think I could really inflict torture on someone else no matter how bad they were but I also think I could if it was in my life. I couldn't kill him but I would definitely castrate him or scar him badly but not kill ultimately.
What i want to know is does anyone have restrictions? Do the people who KNOW they would do this to a paedophile only know they would do it if they killed the child? What i'm saying is would they deserve horrific torture and death for just the sexual molestation / rape of a child but that the child lived.
I think the lowest scum on earth are the people who take a child's life away- who rape and kill, but should their be at least some leniency to a culprit if he abused ONCE only but didn't batter, torture or kill the child?

I don't condone this for one moment but have always thought that as a society we are so blinded by rage against paedos and that we all say if you hurt a child then you should be killed but does it apply to the paedophiles who have abused children but are genuinely remorseful and who haven't killed the children?
I will admit that if some lowife abused any child of mine, my family or friends I would want to beat them up badly but not kill, But if the abuser HAD KILLED the child after the abuse then that is jusified to kill them.
Also I watched up to the end and I know the guy deserved retribution but I was glad that the doctor didn't kill him as the guy had gone through so much pain

I like the idea of the torture... Better to make your enemy wish they were dead
