SPOILERS: Did anyone else think the bathroom scene...

...in the bathroom in the cottage, where the dad is imagining his deceased daughter to be there with him, was the most emotionally powerful scene in the movie? He was there imagining himself to be bathing his beloved daughter, whilst she was 'there' looking sorrowfully at him, with bloodstains still on her from the attack that killed her...then the dad starts breaking down in tears, with flashbacks shown of the last time he saw her alive...

I just thought the whole scene was directed perfectly, and acted perfectly from the lead actor. I would go as far as to say I have not seen many movie scenes (ever) that moved me as much as this scene. I felt the dad's sorrow as if I was him for that scene...it really was incredible, and elevated the movie to another level.
This movie wasn't just a torture-porn flick like I mistakenly thought when I began watching it. It was a passionate movie that was truly emotionally engaging.
9/10 for me.

I found it to be extremely moving too. To be honest, I found it far harder to watch than any of the torture scenes, particuarly when the lttle girl's wrist just keeps gushing with blood and dad breaks down. I'd lost all sympathy for him after he kidnapped the mother of another victim, but I really felt for him again in this scene.

That's the only scene that made me tear up and get a lump in my throat. I did get incredibly angry over the "motivation" scene, though. Powerful movie.

-Dad, who's that?
-Oh, that? One of my patients. He's...sick.
-Will he live?
-It's looking grim.

You should stay there for a while.
I will rush home when I'm done.
Call me if something goes wrong.
I love you, daughter.
