True. Bobby Deols' character in this movie was played by Reese Witherspoons' in the original. I knew it was a copy as soon as i saw the opening scene of a storm while they were kids; even at the end when the lawyer comes running in to announce that Bobby hasn't signed the divorce papers was an exact copy!

Must say, however, that i did enjoy the indian version so much more, and was happy to see that it was well "indianized" like so many other movies.

the lawyer part was what triggered my memory but after thinking about it everything was a copy from the marriage being the reason to going back to the starting of businesses,,, but i enjoyed this version
