anyone felt...*may contain spoilers*

i watched this anime a while ago.

did anyone felt as if the anime is incomplete? i mean how could the female lead, ahiru, turn into a duck after all she has done? how could the prince choose rue instead of ahiru? when the anime 'ended', i dunno for others, but for me it felt like there should be more to it...

what do you think?

I agree on that somewhat.... i was dissapointed when the prince chose rue instead of ahiru but i suppose thats sort of like the message of the story.... sort of :( i thought Fakir was cute, and how they danced together was sweet. i haven't seen many anime series/films but this one is by far my favourite so far!

I wasn't disappointed that he chose Rue. I think she (Duck) realized that even tho she "loved" Mytho, she wasn't "in love" with him. I liked the ending. It would have just been 'too perfect' if all of a sudden Mytho had realized that he loved Duck (someone he never thought of as more than a friend) and ended up with her.

Fakir and Duck all the way! They are so cute, and he actually loves her for being herself, not Princess Tutu.

Although unexpected, I really loved the ending because even though I started as a Duck/Mytho fan I turned into a Duck/Fakir fan because of the way they started to work together and build a relationship and whatnot. After all that happens it does make sense that the prince would finally acknowledge Rue/Krahe's feelings, and that Fakir would watch after Duck. I would just love a new season where maybe Fakir is able to write a story for him and Duck, allowing her to become human again but then of course something would have to happen to mess up his story and they would have to fix it.

Of the many, many series I have watched over the years, this one has my favorite ending.
Mainly because it's not a perfect happy happy lovey dovey ending that panders to the viewers, or isn't depressing for the sake of being so. Everything that happens fits the characters.
Sure I would have loved if Ahiru had remained a girl and gotten together with Fakir. It's my love of romance... but she was a duck, and it would make the show lack something if the theme at the end was to ignore who you really are. It's not bad that she's a duck, after all a duck changed everything for the best.
And as for Rue and Mytho. Well they progressed in the story to be together. It was a natural choice in the end, maybe not at the beginning... but after everything that happened to both... I enjoyed it. Not even saying that as a Fakir supporter ;)

The ending if open ended enough for everyone to choose their own ending for Ahiru and Fakir. Which is like a proper story... up to the readers imagination.
