WHY NOT A THIRD SEASON?

I NOTICED THAT I AM 1 OF THE MANY PEOPLE ON THE INTERNET WHO WANTS PRINCESS TUTU TO HAVE A THIRD SEASON. AS I NOTICED THAT I THOUGHT JUST HOW MUCH THIS SHOW NEEDS TO COME BACK, CAUSE ONCE U THINK ABOUT IT IT'S STILL MANY PROBLEMS IN THE STORY THAT WERE NOT CLEARED UP.DO YOU AGREE?

reply

I really think that that was eough. Cause if they continue the series, they would have to have another plot, and I think it couldnĀ“t be anything like the first two seasons!

reply

you are rite, i just think some characters didn't get a happy ending.

reply

I would really like to see continuation for this series, and I do not think it would be a problem writing another season, since there are some things they could develop more, and they have this great background story to work from. I think a 3rd season could easily work!

reply

I couldn't agree more. with the whole Fakir trying to get Duck back and all. I think it would be awarding to see that. Maybe they could go around the town trying to fix the town, like maybe some things were still in the story or what not.

reply

Yes, there is whole lot more to the story, and perhaps new problems arose from the effects of drosselmeyers and fakias writing. There is a whole lot to develop here!

reply

As much as I'd like a third season, i don't believe it would work out. In the end, what sets Princess Tutu apart from other 'magical girl' genres is that it IS a tragic story [as drosselmeyer puts it lol]. It was meant to be a tragic story from the get-go, [on drosselmeyers part] and really the only reason for Mute's destiny changing was because of Ahiru. In the end, as depressing as it is, Prince Mythos IS a prince, and gets to choose his princess, and Ahiru IS a duck. They never really surpassed the roles they belonged to, as Drosselmeyer also said.

Third season? I wont deny wanting one, but it would take away Princess Tutu's charm of the harsh reality that sometimes, as much as you try and strive for a certain thing, you just cant become it.

reply

why can't you be satisfied with the way it ended? lol
A third season would be rather boring, wouldn't it? Where would the action come from? Sure it would be wonderful, but there is a happy ending, you just have to come up with it yourself

reply

*Spoilers, of course*

I think the open ending allows for some wishful thinking without having to spell it out. It was bittersweet to the extreme that Ahiru remained as she was, but if Fakir was still writing, its entirely possible that something better is to come for Ahiru. Even if not, he stayed true to what he said and is still by her side. I thought it was an awesome (though again, bittersweet) ending that worked perfectly, and I think itd be hard to continue it.
...That said, Id definitly still watch the third season if it came out.

its most of the time best leaving the people wanting more
