i don't think there are any official plans but i really hope to get an "alternative universe" version or just a "same world different characters/story" kind of thing.. :) (same world= not particularly kinkan town but rather another dream-like wonderland with some god-like someone who controls all)

I think it might be possible to do a direct continuation. I read some great fanfiction and I was always a shipper for Ahiru and Fakia, so I am kind of hoping for a continuation, perhaps she can become human again...

Supposedly the creator wants to continue the story of Fakir/Ahiru but dvd sells are really low and they need more funding. Personally I'm waiting till a box set is available.

Yesh there could be ya just gotta buy the Dvds that would really help the princess tutu staff AND HOPEFULLY MAKE A 3rd SEASON!Rawwr XDXD i realy want there to be a 3rd season must get dvds *__* *eats paper*

awww, I would LOVE to buy the dvd, but they are not so cheap and I am a student. I would have to wait for the boxset. believe me, if I had the cash I would buy the dvds and support one of my favorite series!

But it's already been about 3 years, which means usually the door is closed for anything additional to that series, because most of the fans have moved on to other stuff.

The dvds are only about 9 dollars each on the ADV site during holidays--like right now for Golden Week ^_^ Hope this helps!

It would be awesome if there was. I was rooting for Fakir and Duck as soon as he fed her some bread that time after catching her trying to deliver the note to Mytho. They are SOOOOO cute together! I don't want it to end the way it did!

Semi-spoilers below, I suppose.

I actually quited enjoyed the ending to the series. It seemed to stay true to the German fairy tales that it was using as backdrops - ending in a tragedy instead of the clear-cut happy endings that we're used to in most movies / stories these days.

But hey, it was only a semi-tragedy! I think Fakir likes her better as a ducky anyway. He needs someone to protect, and if anyone needs it, it's Ahiru. It isn't a romantic ending, but at least they still have each other.

(Although, I was secretly hoping that her self-sacrifice would lead to her being blessed with a human form by some higher power. Alas, things can't always work out as we hope!)

well i was just thinking, s1 is called chapter of the egg, s2 is called chapter of the chick, why not a s3 called chapter of the swan?

Gah can anyone give me the email to the producers? XD I so want to write them and beg for a s3.

Awww no I dont think he liked her more as a duck, the prince was in love with the Princes Tutu aspect of her, while Fakir knew her in all her forms, accepting her as she was in all of them and I think fell in love with them all, as they all were a part of her.

i just started watching PT on youtube yesterday (heh im a little late) but i think a season 3 should def happen. and if the ending was dissatisfying (idk if it was cuz i havent seen it) they should totally make a s3
