This is a remake

This is the same story as the movie Conrack which starred a young Jon Voight. It was released in 1974. It's a very touching story. I hope that this version is as well done or better than the first. It is a semi-autobiographical story about the author Pat Conroy when he went to a coastal island off the South Carolina to teach. I'm looking forward to seeing this version.
I was very impressed with his book The Prince of Tides for which he also wrote the screenplay. The movie was very true to the book.
