I really enjoyed this movie. I loved the quaint British humor (not to ridicules but just goofy enough to get a laugh!), along with the relaxing beautiful setting. Anyone else who liked this movie have any recommendations?

I recommend "The Big White" (http://imdb.com/title/tt0402850/). It's not a British comedy, but rather a Germany/Canada/New Zealand/USA co-production, with a British director.

Funnily enough it has a similar premise: a lighthearted look at the lives of people being improved by the deaths of others.

If you liked the beautiful setting and Maggie Smith, try "Ladies in Lavendar," with Maggie and Judi Dench. Charming story and setting.

Serial mom is as good as keeping mum. An US production.

Beautiful setting is also included in Tea with Mussolini. There is also Maggie Smith. And good British humour.

I'd also try this old Michael Caine movie: "A Shock to the System" (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0100602/)

I recommend Dutch movie: Everybody's Famous! (http://imdb.com/title/tt0209037/). it's hilarious!

If your wanting a really good 'black' comedy like this one... I recomend Where's Poppa http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0066563/
it is from the 70s and also Harold and Maude is a great balck comedy as well..

but if you want a great british movie, Gosford Park is a good one.

I recommend:

Cold Comfort Farm
a brilliant adaptation of the parody by Stella Gibbons skewering the overblown hyperventilating English romantic novels of a certain period. For those who appreciate the subtle, rather than broad, English humor.

The Quiet Family
A Korean stab at dark comedy, about a family that buys a mountain-top hikers inn which inexplicably becomes a destination for aspiring suicides.

A second vote for Arsenic and Old Lace, and The Trouble With Harry.

I'll also add "The Ladykillers" The original with Alec Guinness, do not bother with the Cohen Brothers/Tom Hanks version.
