Ned and girls (spoiler)

I start by saying that I haven't read the book. So don't throw that in my face, please.
There's a certain scene I feel it's something wrong about. Why would the two girls want to blow Ned together? I find it very unlikely. Normal girls would never open up for such an act, and if it's the boy who expresses that wish, any sane girl would just walk out of there. I mean, he looks like an ordinary kid that age. And common teenager boys never have that kind of luck, it's like an erotic dream coming real for him.

Or are the filmmakers playing out the fact that Ned looks like a certain young actor (hint hint) and the girls find him hot because of that?

The whole plot is bizarre, though I really like this movie. I've seen it several times already and this most recent, I tried to figure out the timeline for the characters to estimate an age for Henry Fool. Don't you find it mysterious that his marriage certificate showed is DOB as 1591?

Either none of the characters remember the events clearly, or one of the subplots has to do with time. It would be easy to think that Henry Fool became an fugitive in 2001, just because of all the stuff that happened in that year in New York, but that would mean that his marriage took place in '93 or '94. That conflicts with being in Afghanistan in 1989 (for 5 years), and when does he do his time in prison for seven years? If he was in Chile in 1973, when does he meet Angus? If there is a third part to this film, I think it would be interesting to see how the writer explains the events in Henry's life. Angus puts too much value in getting back the books from the French Government risking his life the way he did.
