okay, so i just watched Fay Grim after not watching Henry Fool, and i barely understood the story. Can someone basically give an overview of the whole espionage/Henry's back story, and explain this movie in relation to it?

The specifics aren't important.
But if you haven't seen Henry Fool, then why even ask? For all you know, the entire second film is explained by the first. Guess what: it's not.

Well, Shut Up And Drive.
I think the whole convoluted espionage plot is a MacGuffin, and I doubt even the writer could explain it. This is more a parody of convoluted plots, and once I quit trying to piece together the details, I rather enjoyed it.
