i have not yet seen this movie, but the basic plot sounds quite similiar to another movie...
a parisian waitress who helps people realize their potential to be happy, while realizing it for herself as well.
sounds awfully familiar.
the stories are very similar. the waitress in this film even has the bubbly personality. the diff. might be that this film involves people who are professionals in arts fields. and, that the waitress character is much more realistic (with some of the everyday problems of real people). not quite the fantasy film that "amelie" is.

Amelie changes people's lives by meddling with their business.
In this one, the main character is only a witness. She listens, she watches, but she does not really act, except for when she sleeps with that guy.
She acts as a confident, mostly.
