Of course 'The X-Files: I Want to Believe' centers around an attempt at a head transplant. At this point in time it certainly doesn't seem possible. But I have heard now of at least two, including a recent one. As with concepts like AI and cloning the dangers and ethical dilemmas do not preclude attempts at inventions and discoveries. I thought that if something can be done it will be eventually. Maybe this was in the back of Mary Shelley's mind as she wrote.

What was the purpose of the head transplant? Why does an ugly scratched dude need a woman's body for?

Nothing made sense to me. Why cut up used up bodies and dump individual parts in the ice? Why not burn them?

As I said, people will keep trying things until they work. And there will be volunteers and specimens for the foreseeable. Here's another attempt at head transplant.
