How I learned of Robert Ford

Back in 1975, Elton John had an album titled "Rock of the Westies". On it is a cut called "I Feel Like a Bullet in the Gun of Robert Ford". I just thought it was just about someone John knew. Then I saw "The Long Riders" and Nicholas Guest played Ford and I realized the meaning behind the song. Kind of odd that a gay English musician would know about a second-rate U.S. outlaw.
