You are all overlooking one basic thing: they used steroids. Like almost every athlete does nowadays to meet the expectations.

After training for over 20 years in both martial arts and body building I can assure you that it is simply impossible to develop a look like seen in the movie without any "help".

If you get a chance, check out this excellent documentary about pro's and con's and myths surrounding steroid-use.

Bigger, Stronger, Faster...

That is completely wrong. It requires more work and more meals but you can build a body like that without steroids. That and the fact that there are shelves of sports supplements like protein powders, creatine and the like there is no need. Im guessing you have never seen a natural body building show??

I'm guessing you think the natural bodybuilders are actually lifetime natural? yeah they are....about 10% of them.

reply

Actually most are natural. Its those few that dont adhere to the rules that taint the name. When Ronnie Coleman, 8 time Mr Olympia, was natural when he earned his pro card

Why do people always think you have to take steriods to get muscle? The human body is a great machine. If you work it out, you will see results. Everytme there is someone who is ripped/defined, people say he took steriods.

reply

Because most people are lazy herd animals that think, "if I cant get big/ripped/skinny by working out then no one can." It doesnt help that the american government has had a hard on for steroids and users for some time now. Even though it was that same government that advised the atheletes to use them in the olympics in the 40's to compete in the power lifting competition.

Actually, he's probably right - You guys should look into the movie/documentary he mentioned, Bigger, Stronger, Faster

Steroid use is a lot more prevalent than you think

It's not difficult to get away with competing in a natural bodybuilding show on steroids we all know how easy it is to get past the drug test, thats if they even bother to do a real test which they normally don't its too expensive.

To be so quick and cardio-vascular fit (Scott Adkins), yet having real high muscle mass will need some supplements, even roids... Im not saying roids for sure. But its an option.

Food, sleep can only take you a certain level until you need to start taking supplements (Yes, protein shake is a supplement, but creatine, mystostatin inhibitors, etc. help a lot.

Ive been lifting weights for 15 years and I got to my biggest when I was taking supplements. Now and the past 5 years Im just on food and protein shake and Im no way near as big as I use to. Playing basketball and running also sheds muscle mass...

Thanks for the reference.
Although MJW is very huge, he looks much more "organic" than the roided up crowd.

some misinformed people here throughout this thread

MJW and SA are just in optimum shape.

Don't know if you guys have stepped into a gym recently but a recreational lifter, who has a fulltime job can look as good as these guys with dedication and discipline.

an ACTOR, with decent genetics and time to train and prepare strictly for a role can get into this kind of shape ...

nobody looks roided up in this film.....

just great lighting, ripped actors,

look at this film, then watch a clip of a recent pro bodybuilding show and you'd see the differences
